It’s lovely to meet you!
I’m Jane Blackman
I live in wonderful West Sussex, and luckily for me, right by the sea, where I love to walk and cycle the coastal paths and local woodland.
I’ve been married to my husband for over twenty years – we met at university, where we both trained as primary teachers. I became a headteacher and an education consultant before becoming a full-time celebrant – a role I’ve been deliriously happily in, since 2014, when I trained and became accredited with Humanists UK.
I’m a humanist through and through…
…celebrating the good and the joy in our human relationships; embracing diversity and promoting equity; aiming to live a responsible, happy life; striving to treat others and all living things with care and compassion – making the very most of every precious day that we have.
I love the sunshine, nature, being in the outdoors, pottering in my garden, growing, sewing, baking, comedy shows, mushy, funny films, and a good chat over tea and cake.
I adore time spent with family, my amazing friends and my two naughty rescue cats.
I’m a huge music fan – so many favourites – I love to dance and to laugh – the very best medicine.
